Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply.
I'm in the process of joining the OpenDWG organization.
I also posted a thread on the Autodesk VBA forum.

Apparently, the 2004 object model has a new SummaryInfo Object for the Drawing Object which has all the summary properties available. Getting to this info with an earlier version is not as easy.

Can the OpenDWG 2004 compatable control read/write to a 2002 version file?

Marshal

>Marshal, you don't need Autocad at all. That is the beauty of the OpenDWG control. It has full read/write ability to the AutoCad DWG/DXF format. Note it is not a renderer in the sense of drawing the cad file to screen - but they do have a beta version of that which as far as I could tell was faster and more accurate than anything else on the market (for example LeadTools which I know and love for raster image processing, but has a pathetic DWG rendering engine. Sloooow, costs $5000+ and does a piss poor job of reading any of the drawings I throw at it)
