As Craig said, I imagine it costs less in Vegas than in Palm Springs. In addition, while DevCon attendance has gone down, it's worth pointing out that Advisor runs many smaller conferences. In fact, the FoxPro DevCon was their largest by a lot for a long time. I think typical attendance for their other conferences (or at least some of them) is in the 300-400 range. So as long as it doesn't lose money, there's no reason for them to stop running DevCon.
