You can do that as ASP.Net doesn't require anything special.
The minimum requirements are:
* A virtual directory marked as an application in IIS
* A BIN subdirectory
* And a web.config (not required, but usually a good idea)
I'd recommend you use Web Matrix which you can get from
www.asp.net, which is a free, limited but pretty good IDE designed for ASP.Net development. Unlike VS.Net it uses a single file model to create ASP.Net pages which is easier to deal with for simple things.
