Hello Dean;
I am 61 and still love to learn new things. Recently I learned the most complex piece of music I have ever played. So age does not seem to be a limiting factor at this point of life. What helps is passion! Also the need to survive helps drive me, along with our daughter in her third year at UCLA. :)
Our company is deciding which flavor of .NET to use. We will use ASP.NET and perhaps C# (or Db for those with a music background!). Visual Studio .NET will be our tool.
I have programmed in 13 different languages and must say that there is a lot to learn with this technology. A product like Mere Mortals .NET may be a step in the right direction, besides learning about the .NET framework and the meaning of the terms used.
Good luck.
Tom
