Hi,

Cathi and Rip have previously conceptually outlined the subclassing of mm.net web controls but I remain confused. Can someone please hold my hand and get me through (step wise) the subclssing of mm.net web controls? Along the way please advise why we are taking the steps indicated by your instructions.

Rip said:
“I created a project specifically for custom and subclassed webcontrols that I built so they are separted from my main WebForms project. Once I had the dll from the webcontrols project built, I right-click on the tool box and choose "Add/Remove Items...". Then hit the browse button and find the webcontrols dll. After you choose the dll the controls should show up in the list where you can select them to be shown on the toolbox.”

Cathi basically stated the same thing.

What does it mean to have a project just for the controls? What does it mean a dll from the web controls?

Regards to all,

Neil
