I always VFP write apps for internal use in our organization. This time I created an encryption tool (basically a wrapper for Window CryptoAPI) that we shall give to some external customers, to exchange encrypted files with us.
One of our lawyers wants to write some kind of EULA for me to put in the installation routine for this little tool. They are not experienced in software legal issues and of course do not take my word that I'm allowed to build and distribute tools with VFP. They do understand my explanations that we cannot actually give licenses the end-users as we do not own the technology, and the program is not copyritable as it basically uses the Windows API already in posession of the client.
I need to find some URL (I couldn't so far), to show them what we can legally do with distibution of VFP-built and of Windows software in general.
Can anybody point me to some URLs that spell this out?
TIA,
