Hi Kurt,
>
>I have a small program in fp2.1 that is printing information from a memo field to the printer. I do this via the command \\<> and then print the generated txt filt via the type command to the printer, the layout is ok. When i use the same code in a vfp7 environment then the layout is like a mess. My font is smaller and the font isnt proportional anymore.

The size of character of Truetype fonts are not the same..

You can solve this or changing the font for FOXPRINT font (per instance) or installing a printer driver named: Generic/Text Only.. In both cases you will find what you need..
