You assert your apps are the world's best, but offer no evidence. Can you expect anyone to believe you?

>A number of companies that adopted SAP, for example, either went under (eg. FoxMeyer) or nearly went under because their "order taking", which had taken 10-15 seconds in the past, later took up to 2 minutes ... simply because of their mediocre UI's.

>My point is that "most" designs of "set-oriented" systems are ponderous to work with, from the User's POV, and that includes most "frameworks". (And I don't believe they have to be that way, but "set-oriented" thinking often seems to displace UI creativity).

IYO. Can you provide examples - specifically, of how your solutions are better? And, what is "set-oriented" thinking/systems?

>And I never "said" there was anything wrong with "n-tier", scalability, security ... I practice it, even if only at a "logical" level.

>I'm simply having a go at those people that maintain the any app that isn't using SQL Server / MSDE must be "monolithic", not scalable, not secure, "not as good" ... While these things are important and need to be considered, they are secondary to the User experience (IMO), and are only one part of a "sophisticated" app.
