Hi All

I need to do some testing of data access speeds between VFP6 and SQL Server - a client is real keen on SQL because they have been told it's fast but with only a handful of users and records only in the hundred thousands I am not fully convinced that SQL will be quicker than VFP6.

I can simulate the clients environment with my home network. Are there some recommended processes I can go through to evaluate the speed of both databases?

Also - is there much in the area of speed to be gain by upgrading from VFP6 to VFP8?
