Try to clear your browser cache first.

Be sure to put the full URL of the file like "http://mysite/icon.ico".



>i tried that but it didn't work, i have referenced the favicon.ico icon through many different links (c:\inetpub..., localhost\mysite\... etc) but none of them have worked. could it be my setup? i am using 2k with iis and ie6
