in their xfrx product there is documentation about placing simple background images into pdf files using a scripting language.

I've placed a .bmp file in the background of a foxpro report and the generated .pdf files displays the .bml file the background correctly.

No real need for the elaborate scripting language Eqeus/XFRX provides.

I know this scripting language makes possible elaborate interactive documents.

However, in my case of simply placing a company logo in the background of the document is placing it in the VFP report and using no scripting a 'bad practice'. Or can I get away with the path of least resistance?
