If you think VFP has only the UT for support then you haven't looked around much. There are the Microsoft public newsgroups, Compuserve, the Wiki, Foxite, and topic-specific messageboards like Rick's West-Wind site.
If you think there are no code examples, what about the UT downloads? Also, commercial frameworks take a lot of work out of building an app. There isn't much in the way of pre-built stuff for .NET - I know of Kevin's framework and the "Code Blocks."
I totally agree that there are more resources for .NET but there are also tons more developers.
