i have a web site that i am working on. it resides on my local machine and it is a asp site. when my machine starts up dllhost is not running as far as i can tell, but when i access my site it appears and is about 16mb in size. i have had a look on the web but cannot find out exactly what dllhost does that takes up so much room. the size varies from 16-27 mb. i do have a few dll's on the machine that are accessed as part of the site but combined these come to 150kb! any ideas whats happening?

The DLLHOST.DLL is required to run out-of-process COM. If you're using IIS then you can change the application protection to allow DLL's to run in-process - but it's not neccessarily a good idea....
