Well, you can use a general field to store pictures.

But most programmers around here seem to agree that that is not the best way to do it. A general field has three main problems: 1) it takes perhaps 20 times as much space as a JPG-picture; 2) This may easily make you pass the 2 GB limit per file; and 3) It is difficult to take the picture out again.

The usual recommendation is to keep your JPG (or GIF) files as separate files, and only keep the filename in a small character or memo field.
