our amazing Sergey posted the answer yesterday - it's a bug in the multimedia class. Sergey seems to know every nook and cranny and then some. ;-)

Fox doesn't raise 'library not found' errors when you call an FLL function. Either the SET LIBRARY succeeds or it doesn't. The error message is misleading, by the way, since Fox reports 'not found' even if the FLL was found but simply refused to load. Like when some dependent DLL (e.g. VC++ runtime) is missing or when the dll image is corrupted.
