For me it has only happened on my default.aspx page (users reported that it happended on other pages, but I was not able to duplicated it) since we moved to our faster webserver in August. I stumbled across something strange yesterday while copying some files between sites on the server. default.aspx.resx was marked as read-only. Because of this, it hadn't been updated since August, yet the default of the files associated with default.aspx had. I've removed the read-only setting and so far so good.

Maybe this was the cause.
