And what do you consider using only SQL Stored Procedures to access and manipulate SQL Data? Thats an identical architecture to using only VFP programs to access VFP data, and it is an approach you are quite fond of:

Interestingly enough, this solution and the advantages they bring is eerily similar to the approach of encapsulating that logic in a Web Service instead of Stored Procedures. Although your approach is out dated, less functional, and far less accessible than the Web Service.
