It's not exactly answer to your question, but might be useful info too.

Last several days I was looking for a temporary replacement for envelope printer DA-608. Searched through Business Depot, Best Buy, Future Shop -- did not find printers with really large envelope tray. Finally picked inkjet Canon i850 -- by today I have printed already 2500+ envelopes. The tray size is about 20-25 envelopes, in draft mode it prints same 20-25 envelopes per minute.

This is 1.5-2 times faster -- I guess -- than most of personal laser printers. And the price is very competitive too.
