This may be a little tricky since you are attempting to override hard-core grid behavior.
Try this. Ensure that the sum of the width of the visible columns is at least 6 pixels less than the width of the grid less the width of the vertical scrollbar. If so, the grid should not scroll when you tab from one cell to the next.
If it does, get back to me and we'll look at option B.
