sounds like you need to make the last column a few pixels narrower. enough so you can see the right edge borderline of the column. as long as the right edge of the last column is a little off the view pane, it will scroll.

also, you might want to set all the Allowx sizing properties to .F., to prevent users from resizing and getting the same behavior.
