It is 3.2-megapixel with a 3X optical zoom
The lens cover slides open and closed so it's great to keep in a purse.

You can print a decent 8X10 and if you display on the web there will be plenty of pixels to zoom in on.

This IS what you should get and spend the balance of your budget on a memory card.
