http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=304868I would also strongly recommend downloading the windows 2000 drivers for your hardware and making backups of these drivers and any data you want to see the other side of the install.
I would recommend using NTFS file system and if you have a large enough HDD create two patitions. You can then load O/S and programs onto your C drive and keep your data on D. This makes re-formatting and re-installing your O/S easier in the future.
I would also recommend finding a friend who has done it before and inviting them round for a coffee one evening! There's plenty that can go wrong but you have no way of telling until it happens - then you can't get on the net to look for help!
