It opens several instances of Word & the docu at the same time, and reduces my system memory to the point of stopping the system. Now Cetin gave some tips that I am going to use in order to avoid this.

Or perhaps any other suggestion you can give on how to use a Word document
without having to open it and still do a textmerge thru VFP5.0.

ps. perhaps you would like to know why I am trying this, and the reason is that
I do not know how to integrate along with a textmerge in VFP5.0 a graphic file
for example signatures or logos(jpg, tiff, pcx etc) and now with OLE I could set up an "OVERLAY" document with all of the Word advantages and the Picture frames and still get a good merging time to a XEROX or HP5si laser printers
