I have some special songs that I listen to when I have the icky work in front of me. Songs in various genres of electronica that charge me up and allow me to blast through the nasties like a bull(*disclaimer* small and physically unintimidating bull) in a china shop.

For particularly nasty bits of work, I get silly. Making the environment fun makes the work more palatable. I make up songs that use "mooo" frequently in the lyrics, close the office door, turn the lights off and break open a glow stick. I mix things up with tasks that I enjoy doing. If I am really desperate, I start chatting with inanimate objects around my office if I'm at work or try flossing the cat if I'm at home.
