We're developing a very large app ... for sale, not an inhouse product. It's written entirely in C#. I know that some people are saying that C# is better for server-side stuff and VB.NET is better for UI stuff, but I don't agree. My point, again, is that *I* think it still comes down to personal preference and/or the background of your developers. Others here will disagree with me.

>I mean there are many vfp shops that make a business out of selling customized software and choose vfp because it's much more suited to this sort of thing than something like C++ or maybe even vb6. Are both C# and VB.NET sufficiently higher level where they can be used in this way and would one be better than the other? For example, I'm hearing nowadays that C# is better for building frameworks while VB.NET is better for productivity. I guess that means VB.NEt might be better for applications that might need to be customized alot for alot of different customers??
