With the risk of being the fool of the day, isn't that a completely irrelevant question? When I think of ports in connection with computers, I always think of something related to communications, like LAN, serial ports and so on. I have never heard of ports in connection with 'normal' programming like VFP. But I am not a C++ programmer, so I may be completely wrong.

>Recently I was able to review a product called Packeteer. This product sits on the network and analyzes bandwith to the application level. Some versions even let you shape or dictate how much bandwith an application gets. In the conversation I was asked what port my VFP application was written for. I have no idea. Does any one no what port VFP applications are written for?
