Jason - usually tapi is set up for vfp to 'get to' some phone system FROM vfp. You are asking about the opposite direction -> Phone System TO a VFP database.

In order to GET to the data you will have to write a wrapper / active X control that the phone system can call. Suggest you do it in VB, and bundle up some odbc searching. The TAPI interface will be slick and easy - but the data part will not be.
