Arnold is off to a good start! He is about to realize how impossible it is to govern California or any democracy.
Unemployment in the San Francisco Bay Area is the highest in any urban area of the state. When asked by politicians in Sacramento yesterday how he intended to address the unemployment problem in the Bay Area, he stated, “The whole state has a problem! We need more jobs in California”! Well, that did not address the issue. Sounds vague, ignorant or political to me. This guy learns fast. He sounds like any elected official.
A prominent democrat in California is John Burton. There will be one heck of a dogfight after comments from Arnold during the last two days. The fun has not yet begun! Arnold may be naïve when it comes to politics and regardless of what he wants he has to convince the legislators. There is something wrong with a “two party system”. The alternative is even worse. To have one party in the name of the people does not work, as history has shown us.
