thanks for the tips. I take it that the normal heading height is the same as preveious versions of windows and that in this case you guess the user has turned on a Theme that is causing the problem. I finally broke down and orderd a new Dell so I will have an XP unit in house to play with when I have to answer these questions. We have not gone to VFP 8 becuase too many of our customers are still running Win 98. We are planning to go with VFP 9 when in comes out in a year though. If they haven't upgraded by then it's their problem.
