i'm not a expert of ComboBox because i donnot use it ( it is too much defective, not sure and slow ).

However, check this:

.Column3.Style = 2

with this, ComboBox is a DropList control, and it save the choice immediately.

But, now, i have write a rapid test, and it confirm my opinion;

Peter, when you go (no open the drop list) into the combobox cell, you can read the current value ? I see a blu cell.
