What I am trying to is is this:

I have an XML document and I need to change the format of its tags.
After the format change, I need to validate its data.

Thats pretty much it.
This is my pla, tell me if it sounds right:

I plan on creating an XSLT style sheet to transform the source XML to an XML format that I like. Then I plan on using C# and XmlValidatingReader to validate the data within my XML document.

My concerns are:
(1)I need to ensure that certain fields in the XML document are not left empty but I am not sure which method to use when validating.

(2)Would XSLT be the route to go when transforming from an XML format to another XML format..
