Using the Setup Wizard (VFP 6 and lower as I'm not sure what 7 and 8 offer), I include the barcode fonts in the setup program and just manually install them from the program destination folder to the font folder using Windows Explorer but I have a fairly small number of users to support. A batch file may be able to copy the fonts to the windows font folder and windows may not complain too much using the post install executable feature in the setup wizard (step 4).

Install Shield or a competitive product is most likely better able to provide an installation mechanism that can handle font installation gracefully and is worth looking into.
