About learning VFP in one day...
I told him I learned VFP in one day meaning I built my first database, made my first working form, printed my first report after looking at some VFP code in VFP books.
Of course I didn't learn everything there is to know, but I got started with the basics and became somewhat productive and started on my first real world project all in my first day on the job.
Of course, you're always in learning mode. I know I never learned everything there was to know in VFP, nor did I ever need to know how to do everything in VFP during my 5-year contract, but I knew enough to do the job well and get paid.
You understand. Right? My point was that I can pick up a new computer language and begin using it in a very short amount of time. For instance, I used to be a machine language programmer for 8 years and that is not the easiest language to work with. Or is it? I also learned it by doing it on the job in a few days time.
Have fun! I am turning into a professional job hunter! Very experienced at it. But I do have another interview in the morning for a tech writing job at a medical software company. Wish me luck!
