Hi John,

The JBuilder IDE is very configurable. Try clicking on:

Tools --> IDE Options

Also, off the main menu you can click:

Help --> Help Topics --> JBuilder Fundamentals

This will bring up a help window with the Fundamentals like:

Learning About JBuilder
Tutorial - Building an Application
Using the App Browser
Working in the Editor
JBuilder Projects
Tutorial - Building an applet

The help files are good with plenty of labeled screen shots to give a visual of the topic being discussed.

I was surprised that I could choose editor behavior between options like:

Brief
CUA
Emacs
Macintosh
Macintosh CodeWarrior
Visual Studio

If you cover the material in the help that I mentioned above, you can learn how and where to increase or decrease font size, customize syntax coloring, set default indentions, change themes, etc, so you should be able to arrange the IDE to your liking.

The structure pane displays the structure of the file currently selected in the content pane. It allow me to quickly access the various elements of the generated code. This is one of the many nice features of JBuilder. I'm still a little lost in some areas, but hope things will gradually sink in as I play with the IDE a little.

Regards,
