John, with all due respect to your technical abilities and past contributions you do tend to go on and on and on.... You relentlessly nit pick every post by every person to death. No one can post anything without incurring your incessant nit picking.

I casually notice that every controversial thread involving < JVP > ends with a post from you. Must you always have the final word? Being competitive and determined is all well and fine until the means justifies the ends, at which point fanaticism springs to mind.

Debating for the purpose of trying to enrich both sides, to learn more, and find a better solution is admirable. Debating driven by the need to win is tiresome because there is never an end to it.

Surely you appreciate that typing posts is by its nature more ambiguous and cumbersome than speaking and that many posters assume the reader understands the idea being conveyed rather than the specific words. The reader must use some common sense and be willing to try and understand the writers intent. These posts are not contracts in a legal setting. Not every post must be attacked and defended in a court of law.

You are clearly capable of positive contribution to this community, and have done so in the past, but lately you appear to choose instead to treat every post as a testing ground for your debating skills.

Let the nit picking begin anew ...
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends - Martin Luther King, Jr.
