Hi Steve,

(chuckling knowingly and shaking head at the memories of similar experiences)

First of all, they don't pay enough for their physical location (Floral Park is just east of NYC on Long Island, and from personal experience that's an expensive place to live).
Second, anybody who would respond like this person did isn't interested in a VFP *professional* as much as they're interested in someone they can control.
Third, I wonder if his "one million lines of code" counted comments and physical lines rather than actual executable code lines.
Fourth, if his system contains over 1MM lines of code, that's some *UGLY* code and has got to be a maintenance NIGHTMARE -- and you don't want to do that anyway.

Get the picture? They call places like this "death camps"...because that's what happens to your career and your personal life when you work there.

You can do a lot better, Steve -- don't give it a second thought. Blow this control freak jerk off and let him hire the $20/hour cowering, desperate student that he really wants. You deserve better.

>Can you believe it? Talk about totally unprofessional and ignoramous behavior! The worst reply I had ever gotten in my more than twenty years in the computer job world. Some people really amaze me!
