Hi Michel,

Searching for text in a PDF file may require that you first decompress and/or decrypt the text prior to searching for a text string in a PDF. Bo Durbin had told me about some of the functions in iSED QuickPDF that he uses in eReports. However, I looked on their wesbite and it does not look like there are any functions to do this. If it is a simple PDF that is not compressed or encrypted you could do it with pure VFP. Otherwise you will have to decompress and/or decrypt the text blocks as I mentioned above.

I'm also not sure if the regular Adobe Acrobat Reader could be automated to do this. You may want to review their support docs. That would be the easiest and least expensive way to do it.
