I apologize, Fabio. Guess I was having a bad day yesterday.
One time, I submitted a bug for the speed differences between STRTRAN() and CHRTRAN(). CHRTRAN()ing a character into a space is much slower than STRTRAN()ing a character into a space. I thought this was a clear bug, but I found out that the reason for this was that CHRTRAN() was not designed to change the length of the string, although it could, where STRTRAN() was coded to allow for this likelihood.
I was projecting this onto your AT/OCCURS report. What I should have done was relate the above story, and point out that it was possible that similar considerations were in play, instead of slamming you for implying that the code was badly written. I'm sorry I did this, and I'll try to avoid doing it again.
Please keep posting your reports: many of them have valuable information in them that the Fox team will need to consider.
Ciao! :-)
