I did some experimenting and found that I only had to call saveoriginaldimensions for the grid not any of its component elements. This is in code after the recordsource has been defined and after the call to autofit.

Further I need to call the grid's autofit after the form's resize action occurs.

It works great now!

Taking a look at the instructions and the code, I'm guessing that these "original" properties have never been set for some of the controls that come into existence when a grid gets its properties based on the number of columns in the recordsource. Possibly the columns, text boxes, or headers are unknown by your class because they didn't exist when the form init method fired. Is this the case? And if so, how and when do I call the "saveoriginaldimensions" method for each of the contained controls??
