I use Fox2x tables or ADO, depending on the need or if there is older code being supported.

I do sometimes use reports with linked tables, other times not. Technically, Crystal Reports does not support multiple, unlinked tables. You can do it, but you CAN get unpredictable results.

Character has seemed to work best for me.
