There could be differences that are important to you.

- As new features are added to the CLR, will Microsoft tools be able to take advantage of them before third-party tools?
- Even with MS tools, some languages take advantage of things that other languages don't. For example, C# will use Generics in the next version while VB.NET won't.
- Does Delphi use the full CLR or only the "public domain" pieces
