Hi Nadya!

I just got another "NO" call for a job I had interviewed for. Usually after I get a "NO" call it's followed later the same day by a "YES" call for another interview opportunity.

I too write "Thank you for the interview" messages and never hear anything. I still three jobs possibilities hanging out there: A pending interview for a job doing proofreading of insurance rebuttal letters (non-technical); Awaiting an after the inteview decision for a Data Analyst job; Awaiting a call for a promised 2nd interveiw on another job from last week as a Technical Writer for Java development; And I continue applying for other computer related jobs in the local area.

It is depressing. I can't believe I keep getting passed up. I feel like I hold my own in the interviews and dress professionally and everything else. I am a good oral and written communicator so it can't be my communication skills. I have tons of knowledge and experience so it can't be that. I keep studying and learning new languages so I can knock on even more doors. If I keep trying, someday something good will happen. I never give up! Just getting tired and frustrated, that's all.

Thanks for offering to help me with English/Russian language translation. I will understand if you have no spare time. I won't know until they hire me (if and when they do hire me) how much Polish/Russian/Ukraine I will need to know. Are those three foreign languages very similar? I have a Russian/English dictionary here. One time I bought cyrillic keyboards and printers and was working with a company here and in Russia to sell clone PCs to Russia.

I will keep you posted on my job situation. Sorry to hear you are having the same problems I am having. It's seems like more jobs are starting to open up and more classified ads are appearing in the newspaper because the economy is slowly coming around.
