Thanks for the prompt response to my question. I will try your advice of explicitly naming the objects in the hierarchy before changing the property or executing the method.

If you do have any example code that does OLE Automation in Word 6 or Word 97, whether it applies to my situation or not, I would love to see it. Just zip it up and send it to my email address BHOLTON@ACGPRO.COM when you get a chance. If you have any examples of changing font properties or using Visual Basic methods with spaces (such as typetext text:="blabla"), I would love to see an example of that too.
