We decided to remove all Crystal reports here and convert them to R&R. We were/are (not all done yet ;) ) using Crystal 8.5 with linked VFP tables connected natively.

All our reports were, many years ago, in R&R DOS and when we moved to a Windows platform, they all were converted to Crystal. All went fine until we moved to Windows XP SP1 and Crystal 8.5. We had a fatal error on some report caused in the Msvcrt.dll

We called Crystal support and spent many days to get them reproducing the error on their side. Afterwards, they realized that the error was caused by the Service Pack 1 of XP so they sent us back to Microsoft.

In my point of view, the product that wasn't working was Crystal Reports, not Windows XP. However, the Q&A department there told us that they could not support us since removing the SP of XP was fixing the problem. That got my boss EXTREMELY ¢±@¬¤¬¦¬¤² so now there won't be anymore Crystal products in here, never ever.

Anyway, all our reports always worked faster with R&R any version. And it's very easy to use.
