I have been automating it for a few years (version 8 for Networks/SMTP). The API is now not supported and has become a little bit flaky in Win2k/XP - on some machines faxes won't automatically send event though all propertes of the automation object have been populated - the Send Fax dialog will still pop up which is annoying. I know that they have a newer system for automatic sending that I haven't tried - NetPrintQueue2FAX.

I have found it to be a very stable system - no send/receive/modem problems at all.
