Hehe, especially the French who don't have to worry about forgetting passwords and such because they are not allowed to use anything stronger than equivalent to a 32-bit key. So they can simply crack the stuff in almost real-time. *g*
I don't know if the law is still in effect but Microsoft even had to make special versions of Windows for France because the builtin crypto (RC5 with 40-bit key) was too strong.
At one time the British government wanted a requirement that all private encryption and signature keys be held at some sort of central deposits so that they could not only read anything and everything, but also to ensure that they could forge the electronic signature of any of their subjects with no more than an hour's delay ...
