BUT, I am using the VFP8 version of the HexEdit (in c:\vfp8\tools\hexedit).

I have even re-compiled it and it still has the same error.

For me, I am just curious more than anything else. It is the issue of "credibility" of the Service Pack#1. I think it used to work before that.

Does HexEdit run OK on your vfp8-SP1 system ? I would really appreciate it, if you would try it.
