>I certainly did intend to prove the point that it is not a fact as you had claimed that SQL Server cannot be demonstated to be less flexible than FoxPro, but that was not the topic of this thread. The topic of this thread was discussing what a flexible database was and then once the playing ground had been established, see where the cards lie.

Even though you probably aren't going to read this, I think you should read your first post again, the "title" of the thread was flexible databases, but your initial post was far from it, maybe you should've made everyone a bit more clear about your intentions on this thread, are we supposed to mind-read?

I now understand why you did what you did, but only NOW. Some of us don't like to pre-judge, some of us like to view an argument in isolation and forget about the past or a persons character - I really couldn't give a toss what someone has said in the past or who they've p*ssed off, if that person comes up with an reasonable argument TODAY, then some of us will not question the person, but will question the argument instead.

That's not to say you're wrong, I've been around just about long enough to see some of JVP's past "work" in the UT forum, and I do know what to expect from him, however, that doesn't make his arguments any less plausible, I read the text, I don't listen to the person, if it makes sense to me, it should certainly make sense to anyone else.

Maybe you ought to consider how you view the UT forum, buy starting this thread you have been playing a game, a game to prove what JVP is like, to prove how irrational he is, to "let the jury decide" as you put it, why are you any better than him by trying to demonstrate this?

You say JVP saw a battle, well, so did I, I don't know about the rest of the UT presence, but your initial post was hardly inviting an intelligent discussion.

Kev

PS I'm not judging either of you, I'm just saying how I see it.
