Available $15 rate indeed makes Advisor's $159 rate "really great deal". They just missed the little detail -
for who :)))
>Sure is Doug, I just got a price quote fromthe Orleans, at $15 per night! Yes I know the Orleans is not on the strip, but it IS a respectable hotel casino, in fact I stayed there once and found it quite pleasing. I suspect that there may be a little extra profit taking when a group is hosted at a LV hotel. Especially as most of us will spend a great deal of our time in sessions, not at the blackjack table.

>Yes I feel that staying at the hosting hotel has it's benefits, but in LV the hotels are so closely grouped that one could save considerable money staying at another hotel, and walking (enjoying the sights) from one to the other.

>>>FYI, Ken clarified earlier in the thread that $239 would not be the conference attendee rate. It would be $159.
>>
>>Even that is ridiculous for LV. I was at Comdex last week and paid $79 a night for the Luxor hotel, which was very nice. One of the benefits for having a conference in LV is that it's cheaper than other resorts, yet this rate is pretty much what we've been paying for years in places like Palm Springs and Ft. Lauderdale.
