Here's the scenario:

VFP6 app and data on a Win2K server.
User's fully patched XP PC has had the runtimes installed and a shortcut to the EXE on the server (mapped drive).

When the user tries to run the EXE, a file download dialog appears every time.

This does not happen with our older PC's running WinNT4, or with my dev PC which is also a fully patched XP box.

Is there any way to stop the dialog appearing?

I've googled for an answer and tried technet, but not found anything that will help.

We can live with this but it is inconvenient, and we don't want the users becoming complacent in just clicking Open every time the dialog appears - just in case.

Hoping for a resolution

Jason
